Prizes
  • Invitation to the Gyeongju Cherry Marathon in South Korea Two runners who complete the full marathon will be given invitations to compete in the Gyeongju Cherry Marathon, which will be held in early April 2025
  • ¥100,000 JTB travel voucher One runner who completes the full marathon will receive a JTB travel voucher worth ¥100,000.
  • Invitation to the Chitose JAL International Marathon The 2025th runner to complete the full marathon will receive an invitation to compete in the Chitose JAL International Marathon, which will be held in June 2025.
  • Air travel tickets for male and female winners from Kagoshima Prefecture Top-finishing male and female runners from Kagoshima Prefecture will receive round-trip airfare between Kagoshima and Shizuoka from Fuji Dream Airlines.
Time limit

Runners must finish the race within eight hours in order to have their times recorded.  (The time limit, checkpoint closing times, and completion times will be based on the signal gun.)

Runners who fail to cross the checkpoint before the closing time must remove their bib and stop competing, as must any runner who is instructed to stop competing by event staff.

Time recording

Times will be recorded at the start and every 10 kilometers. (Records will be made available online following the completion of the race.)

However, official times (standings) will be based on gun times. Net times will be provided for reference purposes only.

Athlete bibs

Applicants from outside Japan can receive their bib the day before or the day of the race.
